FRANK M. LUNN has been involved in structuring entertainment transactions and practicing entertainment law for over a decade while working for and with top-tier studios, networks and production companies in film and television. Prior to forming his own law firm in 2002, Frank worked as an in-house business & legal affairs attorney for over 7 years at both Fox and Disney.  Frank’s law practice primarily focuses on all facets of animation including production and distribution for television, film, consumer products, gaming, wireless and digital media. His experience includes negotiating and drafting agreements regarding the acquisition, development, production, financing and distribution of theatrical, cable and network programming. Frank also provides legal production counsel services on entertainment projects including theatrical features, episodic series, network specials, alternative/reality programming and movies-for-television.

Frank is also the co-founder and acting CEO of ThunderSquid Incorporated, a global entertainment content company focused primarily on franchise animation properties with offices in the US and UK.  His role includes creative oversight and development of projects, handling of relationships with creators, providing script review, securing talent, working on budgets, supervising production and managing the international exploitation of such projects within various media platforms including wireless, television, film, publishing and merchandising. 

Frank is attached to the Sony Pictures Animation project “Rustboy” as a producer and the project is slated as a feature film to be released by Sony/Columbia Pictures.  He is also working with producing partners and China Film Group, the largest producer and distributor of films in China, on a slate of animated feature films which will consist of financing from both China and the US.  Frank additionally is working on a number of potential film, television and new media projects with the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park.

Frank has been a featured speaker for the Disney Writer Fellowship Program, the Disney Director Fellowship Program, California Institute for the Arts, China Zhengzhou International Animation Summit, Animation Co-Op, Los Angeles Rock’n Comic Con and The Scriptwriters Network. Frank has the distinguished honor of having been named a “Southern California Super Lawyer / Rising Star” by Los Angeles Magazine for three years in a row (2005, 2006 and 2007). Frank is a graduate of the University of Illinois and received his law degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego.
